78 Years in the Making

Mattress Hero ® Owned By Park Place Direct, LLC, has unique heritage which was founded by the late J.B. Orders, Sr. in 1931, and over the years. Park Place Corporation is known as a manufacture for popular retail showrooms, department stores, and hotels. The following is a time line detailing how Mattress Hero ® came to be.

1931

Nation was in the depths of the great depression, J.B. Orders Sr. Started his handcrafted mattress company.

1934

We developed our first innerspring mattress, Orderest® "In Order to Rest, Buy Order's Rest."

1951

Introduced Orderpedic®

1955

Produces Super Size Bedding for people that were categorically larger.

1973

Used IBM system 3 computer system to streamline efficiency in the company.

1979

Relocation of the Company, and name changed from Orders Mattress Company to Orderest, Inc. Park Place in Greenville, SC.

1981

Founded Comfortaire ® Corporation, The first high quality air supported sleep system.

1994

Company grew and changed name to Park Place Corporation.

1997

Opened a larger mattress manufacturing division encompassing 150,000 square feet. Becoming one of the largest mattress manufacture in the country.

2007

Opened another manufacturing plant in Denver, PA.

2008
