The New Generation of Healthy Mattresses

"Traditional memory foam mattresses are outdated and outperformed."

History of Memory Foam

Traditional memory foam products have become extremely popular because of the invention of a superior foam developed by NASA in 1970. Tempur-Pedic® International, produced a foam derived from NASA and has advertised to the public mattress that contour to the body and reduced pain. Tempurpedic mattresses flooded the market in the late 1990's thru mid 2000's but since then much has changed. Traditional memory foam mattresses including Tempur-Pedic® have long been unable to fix many common complaints that affect consumers in a negative way.

Traditional Memory Foam of Today

According to Robin O'Brien, writer for the American Chronicle writes, "Tempur-Pedic® mattress (as with all memory foam mattresses) has suffered from heat build up; memory foam is quite poor at drawing away body heat and many complain of sweaty nights. Tempur-Pedic® and others have looked at this problem however many still complain about the heat. Finally, there is the smell factor. The foam does have a 'chemically smell' when first used."

This is not all there is to know about traditional Memory Foam Beds. Walter Bader, Author of "Toxic Bedrooms" writes, "According to research, your bedroom may be one of the most toxic places in your home. An average conventional mattress contains more toxic chemicals than a 50-gallon oil drum. Chemicals found in mattresses are being found at significant levels in human blood samples and are known to cause toxic reproductive effects. Our skin is the most porous entry point for these chemicals. Chemical exposure can occur during sleeping hours as a result of the out-gassing from the ingredients used in the manufacture of mattresses and bedding."

The New Generation of Eco Memory Foam

Consumers are becoming more conscious to the negative impact traditional memory foam products have on our health and our environment. Consumers have been changing their minds because "green mattresses" are becoming better in quality than traditional memory foam mattresses. Mattress Hero, has become one of the first companies to offer Eco Friendly Memory Foam products. A proprietary soy based memory foam call Preserve Foam® is "The World First Bio Based Memory FoamTM". The company offers smart mattresses that consist of eco friendly memory foams, and smart fabric technology to ensure the healthiest surface for their customers to sleep on.

Davis Galleon, a Florida based retail mattresses salesperson, states, "The benefits of a Mattress Hero, mattress outweighs the risks of traditional mattress offered today. I won't sell a traditional memory foam or Tempur-Pedic® mattress to any of my customers anymore, its not worth the complaints, Mattress Hero's smart mattresses make my life easier because bio based foam sleep cooler, has less or no toxins, and are healthier. These are products that I feel happy about offering my customers."

What's The Best Memory Foam Mattress?

The mattress industry and consumers alike do not know why memory foam mattress is the best on the market. Consumers have be driven to believe that since they saw the commercial on TV that the mattress must be the best and at an expense. Packed into the cost of each product seen on TV are large sums of marketing and advertising expenses that are passed along to the customer. Most people would say Tempurpedic® would be the best memory foam mattress, and many people that have tried their product have mixed reviews about the negative aspects of the product. The important question for people interested in owning a memory foam mattress would be to ask themselves is what is most important to me.
